Barcelona (Spain), 1977. Albert is the founder of the studio, as well as having given birth to editorial initiatives like Odiseo and Eldorado. Graduated in Graphic Design from ESDi School of Design, Albert had previously studied Geology at UAB and photography at Royal Academie of Arts of Antwerp, in Belgium. Albert is also co-director and teacher in the Master of Editorial Design at ELISAVA. Albert has been awarded with Premios Gràffica 2017.

Barcelona (Spain), 1976. Managing the studio’s commissions and operations, Rafa brings in his strategic vision and journalistic approach as well as his overall branding and communication expertise. After a career in Journalism at Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University School of Communication, he became partner at Folch. Rafa is teacher of Strategic Thinking at the Master of Graphic Design at ELISAVA. He is also partner of Eldorado, Odiseo, and Folch Insights, as well as Executive producer and founding partner at White Horse. Besides this, Rafa is member of the Barcelona Council of Digital Communication and the Comunitat 080 Barcelona Fashion.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, (Spain), 1994. Elena moved to Barcelona to study Design management at ESDi, Escola Superior de Disseny. During her studies she focused her interest around collaborative methodologies and transdisciplinary creations with a deep understanding of design as a social transformation tool, ethics and critical design. Finishing her Final Degree Project her approach is determined by strong ethical concerns, critical design and human-centred design methodologies. Elena is now assisting in the studio with the management of commissions and work flow.

Barcelona (Spain), 1994. Josep’s role in the studio is distinguished by his skills within the field of luxury, fashion and beauty, lending a sophisticated tone on both digital and print. He joined the design world through his studies in publishing and advertising graphics at CIC Design School and after he advanced with a Master’s Degree with a focus on Identity and Editorial Design at ELISAVA.

After graduating from Media Communication at Carlos III University & University of Chile, Carolina studied a Master in Culture Management at Carlos III University (Madrid) and a course in Curatorship at Granada University. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work in the coordination of museums such as Reina Sofía (Madrid) and art fairs’ stands at ARCO, film festivals such as Primavera do Cine or FICBUEU in Galicia and for shortfilms, music videos and fashion films in the production department. Carolina is now part of the team assisting in the studio with the management.

Starting at a creative agency developing strategies for values-driven brands, she then spent several years at a corporate PR & Communications consultancy in London. She moved to Barcelona to complete a postgraduate diploma in graphic design at ELISAVA. Editor in Chief at Eldorado, Bis manages PR for the studio as well as copywriting, editing and brand strategy for various clients.

Now she works as an editor and curator at Folch and Acid House, working on different curatorial, brand strategy and digital communication projects.

Quito (Ecuador) 1996. Nicolás did a major on communication design and a minor on illustration, both at Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Last year he moved to Barcelona to do a Masters Degree in Graphic Design at ELISAVA. He is deeply interested in visual research and the role of design in creating communities in the online and offline world, as well as analyzing the cultural shifts in society and its influence.

In 2020, she was awarded the ADG Laus Young Talent by the ADG-FAD and the Silver Prize for European Student of the Year by the ADCE. She is interested in using data and design as tools for research and is now part of the team of narrative and design at Folch.

After graduating Communication Design in Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), Camilo worked in different design studios in Colombia. Then he moved overseas where he completed his Master’s Degree in Graphic Design at ELISAVA. He is also teacher at the Master of Editorial Design at ELISAVA.

Ruse (Bulgaria), 1994. Desislava moved to Barcelona to study a BA in Product Design at IED Istituto Europeo di Design. During her studies, she developed a mindset of design as a means of triggering the emotional intelligence of the user, as a tool for appealing to the needs beyond consumer behavior. After working for a few years she transformed her desire for a compelling narrative into the field of graphic design. She later graduated with a Master’s Degree in Editorial Design at ELISAVA. Having a multidisciplinary design profile helps her explore in a different light the “stories” that need to be told.

Barcelona (Spain), 1996. Sergio comes from a graphic and metalinguistic background in the analog and digital world that he investigates and explores with a political look. He graduated in Graphic Design at BAU. Over time he has learned to transform language into objects, conceiving typography as the voice of words and editorial pieces as a project medium and outreach of knowledge. His practice is linked to his research using design as a critical-conceptual-formal-expressive tool rich in visual codes. In 2021, he was recognized by the ‘ADG Young Talent’ by the ADG-FAD for his Final Degree Project.

She started her professional career at VICE Media – Virtue Worldwide where she worked for 7 years. More recently, she has been working as Cultural Director and Project Manager for imaginCafé and IDEAL Barcelona. She also collaborates with MIRA Festival where she is currently the Partnership Manager. She is now part of the Acid House Business Team to design new business experiences for partners and brands.

Ibiza (Spain), 1989. Trilce moved to Barcelona to study Photography (IEFC, Barcelona). She combined her studies working in Event Organization, both corporate and in the world of gastronomy, and in Fashion and Advertising Productions, where she discovered her passion for fashion. Having worked on projects of such diverse natures helped her develop her ability to understand and manage multidisciplinary and creative processes within the world of fashion.
She trained as a Project Manager, and in Design Leadership at Parsons School of Design.
She was working as Retail Creative & Innovation Lead at Hawkers, and as Communication Project Manager at Mango, while continuing to expand her training in Fashion Marketing
at Central Saint Martins.

Since then he founded KOLAPS Agency in 2015, a multi-lingual design and communication agency that connects the Middle Eastern and European business design cultures.

He is is co-founder and CEO of ProtoPixel, a platform that democratises lighting by allowing anyone to design, deploy and control all type of light experiences. From small installations to vast architectural projects for Audi, W Hotels or Amazon. Prior to that Sebastian worked as a post-doc innovation manager at the Music Technology Group (UPF), where he helped to secure +€3M funding for cutting-edge AI tools for gaming, music, and healthcare.

Since then, he has been working in the industry for companies and institutions. He has filmed in the US, Europe, the Middle East, Center America and North Africa and worked in projects for The Guardian (Killing Gävle, 2018) or the Oscar-winning Bedlam Productions (American B-Side, 2017). Some of his works have been premiered at MoMa (Fin del Siglo, 2019) and got a special mention for cinematography at Chicago International Music Film Festival.

After graduating in Journalism at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Estefania moved to Barcelona to study a Master of Advanced Journalism at Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University. She has worked on different local televisions, has written for brands such a MediaMarkt, Coca-Cola, Danone or Samsung and collaborated with some media such as La Vanguardia or Marie Claire. Since then, she has worked in some adverting agencies doing digital and paid media strategies for brands such Stradivarius, Turisme de Catalunya, Aldeas Infantiles, Marset or Adidas. Estefanía is now one of our paid media activation managers in the studio.

Photographer and filmmaker with more than 20 years’ experience. He is founder of Expedición Polar, a community created by photography lovers who enjoy travel and adventure and which has become a reference in the production of audiovisual content related to nature and the outdoors. A naturally curious and impulsive person, Álvaro has worked in Alaska, the Himalayas, Antarctica, Morocco, Lombok, Madagascar, the Atacama Desert and California among others.

Barcelona (Spain), 1977. Verónica is a journalist by training and is specialized in the specific field of the press office. She has an extensive experience in the private sector, as well as in public entities such as the Institute of Culture of the Barcelona City Council (ICUB), where she has worked for some of the most relevant events of this city such as the Grec Festival, or the Mercè festivities. His knowledge of journalistic language gives him the ability to interpret and transform the projects of Folch Studio and its clients from a journalistic point of view. Thus, he finds the newsworthy angle of each project and allows the studio to share with national media of reference the notoriety of the same in the format of news, article, interview, report.
