Lacoste reached out to us to create a campaign that celebrates the launch of two new sneaker icons – the L001xL002 – through an action in Acid House Barcelona.
In the initial stages were introduced to the motto “Crocodiles Cross Cultures”, where they express the idea that frontiers are only theoretical and embrace multiculturalism. On the other hand, this shoe brings archive elements from Lacoste’s rich tennis history into the contemporary – a true reflection of urban life, past and future.
The proposal was based on connecting local talent in Acid House in the form of an exclusive workshop that would inspire us to reflect about Barcelona’s future. We invited Albert Riera Galceran, a local artist that explores the limits of contemporary visual language through a diverse range of materials to design the special workshop on the subject.
“The idea was for each of us to imagine the future of Barcelona from different perspectives. Factors such as where people were born, what role they take in society, how they feel represented in the city they live in and how they live in it. The final result was super interesting and collaborative”
Daniela Pérez, Colombian Anthropologist
Participants from different cultures and backgrounds living in Barcelona were invited to come and share a series of objects, souvenirs or photographs that represented how they would build the future of the city they live in, that finalized as a collaborative piece with the artist.
